Hi all. I have recently purchased a Monitor Audio wireless kit in order to run my Xls200.

It's the WT1/WR1 as seen here...

Monitor Audio WT-1 / WR-1 Wireless Audio Transmitter & Receiver Kit - Wireless Accessories - AudioVisual Online - UK Home Cinema and Hifi Specialists

It's all hooked up just fine and works. However I seem to be getting some random interference in the form of pops and crackles. The blue connection light flashes and occasionally drops out too.

The wiress reciever is on one side of a door frame and the transmitter is of the other (both in the same room, just either side of the doorframe). I'm wondering if the interference is coming from the BT homehub or mains...

Has anyone used one of these kits or similar? I'm looking for some tips really.

I recently got one of these also and with my amp off I was getting some sort of pick up on the receiver that caused the sub to output a little noise. Not loud but audiable in a quiet room. I also had the flashing blue light on the receiver. I even noticed it first thing in the morning when in theory everything shpuld have been asleep as nothing had been on. I assumed it was picking up wireless interference although it is a long way from my router. My sub has a crossover control on it that was up at 150hz but as my AVR crosss over lower I turned this down to 90hz and this has sorted the issue. I still occasionally notice the blue light on the receiver flashing when it should be asleep (red) but I’m no longer getting output from the woofer so guess the sub dsp is rejecting the signal due to the lower crossover setting. Don’t know if your sub has a crossover control but worth trying if it does.

My transmitter and receiver are about 5 meters apart in the same room.

It works in the 2.4Ghz band so DECT phones/microwaves/wireless can all interfere with the signal.

@larkone - they oprate in different parts of the 2.4GHz band.
I had a customer who had connection problems when router and device were very close.

Thanks all. I've not had the time to problem solve the issue as yet but will probably spend some time this weekend.

I'm guessing it's going to be the homehub personally.

Wish I could report about how I solved this issue however..... It's gone. For whatever reason the interference has not been a problem since the first time I hooked it up. The only change being that I had moved the wireless receiver slightly further away from the subs amplifier plate and used a couple of better cables to connect it all up.

I'm currently loving wireless subs lol

    Thanks
