Does anyone know of a ADSL service provider that will give you a wireless modem instead of the normal ones they give you.

My friend wants broadband and wireless and doesn't want to have to buy the wireless kit afterwards.

    Cheers,
    Rich

try zen.co.uk - my mate joined up and they supplied him with a netgear wireless router. This is not standard - they charged him extra I think.

The standard adsl modem is usually a cheap USB modem (an alcatel speedtouch I think).

    Hope this helps,
    Mat

when you order bt broadband 2mb the option is given for wireless at £xx extra.

if you will be using the internet mostly off peak i wouldnt recommend bt the 0800 help numbers are shocking to get through to even in the early hours its at least twenty minutes on hold. then its reboot the machine and call us back. try another filter and call us back. reset the router and call us back. etc.

Yeah BT and most of the well known ISPs are well known for bad support. Not worth it - smaller ISPs like Zen, Nildram or Pipex offer far better support.
