I have the Sony 940 and cannot get it to register a DD signal from the PS2 to the amplifier. Wipeout Fusion states that it has DD but the logo on the actual game stated Dolby Prologic 2. Am I doing something wrong - should I get a 5.1 signal?

asimm I'm sure I read in edge magazine the PS2 only outputs DD 5.1 during FMV so your system is working fine I'm afraid, though I do think it is, at best, misleading of Sony to label games in such a way.

Make sure you are outputing DD on your PS2.

Load a DVD title in (movie not a PS2 game).
Stop it and you'll get a lot of options up on the screen.
Select the one for Audio Options (I think that's what it's called)
You'll know you have the right one when it says Dolby Digital Out - NO.
Change it to YES and then you'll get DD out from your games.

BTW, you should get all in game music in DD in Wipeout Fusion.
I'll go and have a scout around to see if I can get in reviews on the games sound and I'll post back if it does.

Just had a look and it seems that only the intro is in DD.
Why bother as how many times do you sit and watch the intro (once if at all if your anything like me).
