    Hi,

I live in Belgium and we have two kind of aspect ratios on our cable. The most used is 4:3 followed by16:9.

When running WinDVR the window is preset to 4:3 mode and when programs are broadcast in 16:9 I get the black bands on top and bottom of the picture. Even a simple guy like me understands that this is normal behaviour.

But when switching to 16:9 mode the window gets resized but the bands still exists, and the image gets deformed like a 4:3 image would do when resized to 16:9.

Is there a way to fix the behaviour?

    My specs:

    AMD 2000+ XP
    Abit NF7-S Mainboard
    1GB RAM
    60 Maxtor GB HDD
Creative Labs Personal Cinema Kit (NVidia Geforce2 MX 400 64MB AV Tuner box (Philips 7108 tuner))

For now I cannot run Dscaler because my tuner card is not supported but if Dscaler would be answer to my problem I would not hesitate to change my hardware.

    Thanks very much,

    Christophe.
