    Hi all,
I've got a problem with WinDVD which I've just installed , it works fine in it's normal software decoding mode but when I tick 'Enable hardware decode acceleration' it stutters, freezes etc etc. I would have thought by using the hardware acceleration it would have been better but it's a whole lot worse! Any ideas what could be causing this? I presume I should be using the hardware acceleration to get the best DVD playback quality using my Radeon 9000 graphics card?
    Any help much appreciated..

    Cheers,
    Andy.

Bit more info... CPU is AMD Athlon 1.3Ghz (with hardware acceleration shouldn't it take load off the CPU anyway?). Using Catalyst 3.2 ATI drivers and WinDVD 4.

    Cheers,
    Andy.

Bit more info, Cineplayer 1.5 trial plays fine with hardware acceleration enabled so looks like a WinDVD problem. Anyone else come across this with WinDVD?
Is Cineplayer 1.5 a decent player (looks ok from what I've seen so far).

    Cheers,
    Andy.
