This may be a dumb question, but I'm a dumb person so it all works out.

My Windows Media Player 9.0 won't work. Everytime I click it it says

    "C:\Program Files\\Window Media Play\\WMPLAYER.EXE is not a valid Win32 application"

Now what the heck does that mean, and can I fix it or am I going to have to restore my computer, again?

What version of Windows are you using ? WMP10 is now available for XP based systems so it could be worth trying that. I'm sure in the past that I've just re-installed WMP9 over the top of a current version of WMP9

Try installing a new version. If problem persists, you should consider installing WINAMP...
