I am getting poor quality DVD video with WMP 10. Specifically, the picture is washed out and there are grey (as opposed to black) bars above and below the picture. Using Theatertek, I get a perfect picture and don't have this problem. This is on both my Windows XP machine and my MCE machine. This is a problem on MCE because the TV picture is equally washed out (I can use Theatertek to watch DVDs).

Turning off video mixing renderer in WMP gets rid of the washed out look (when in standalone player, not MCE) but then does not fill the screen on my 1280 x 768 display.

Any ideas how to cure this anyone?
