Windows 8 Help for a Mac USer.

Just a quickie, I'm a Mac my son is a PC !! I'll spare you the details of what we're trying to do (nothing illegal, it involves minecraft, mods etc )

We downloaded a .rar file earlier and when trying to open it Windows gave us two options:
1. Open with file manager
2. Open with winrar.

Mistakenly opened the file with file manager, which we didnt want to do. Now every time we download a rar file it opens with file manager.

How can I change this so it defaults back to opening with winrar.

I would have gone for:

Hold down the shift key, right click on the file, select "open with" which should then appear in the menu, you should also see a tick box to set as the default or not and a list of possible programs to open it. If the one you want isn't there you will have to navigate to it.
