Windows 7 won't Boot after Anti-Virus Installation

Hi all,

My subscription to MacAfee Anti_Virus recently ran out so I decided to uninstall it and try out another brand. My laptop runs Windows 7 Home Edition.

I went into control panel and uninstalled all Macafee anti-virus related programs then restarted my PC. Now my PC will boot to the password entry screen, freeze and show a blue screen that says "Dumping Physical Memory to Disk" which reached 100% then tries to re-boot again ?

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be great.

Thanks, Andrew :lease:

Turn it on and keep tapping F8 until you get the option to boot via several different methods. Select 'Safe Mode' and see if it boots then report back here.

If you have a Windows DVD (sometimes labelled 'recovery') you can get access to System Restore and roll back your PC to a working state.

I am guessing some startup entry has been left behind and that is what is causing the computer to crash
