I have just purchased a Core 1TB USB3 Desktop HDD to use as a permanent backup destination for my PC. Once I installed the correct USB3 drivers for the motherboard (Asus M4A87TD/USB3) the HDD is recognised and I can manually copy files and folders to it, however if I use the backup facility in Windows 7, I get error messages saying that the backup failed as the drives cannot be recognised. Any ideas? Is it down to the Windows tool and should I use some other backup software?
Thanks
