Hi, Help please. I have downloaded win connect 2.0 & saved it before opening
I have also deleted it and tried open direct from download & on both
occasions on the 1st page when it is supposed to give the option of what
device to connect to this page is blank & stays that way, I have tried 4
times with no success. Am I doing something wrong?
    Win XP Home.
    512 Ram
    250 H/D.

    Try some punctuation....

So is it installing ok and is it availale in the start menu?
When it starts up is it finding any devices?
What media device have you got and are they configured ok?
Can you web access or ping your media device or an easier test, can you play internet radio stations from it?

Hi, I have tried getting the s/b to work by finding my Ad-Hoc connection, it finds the connection but will not connect to it.
When I open WMC the 1st page states as I said before to choose what equipment you wish to connect but does not give any options.
I already use the ad-hoc between two computers and it works fine.
On your last question all NO.
I am now going to try and connect via the computer that is networked as this has a more recent Belkin 802.11g on it if this works or not I will post in next 30 minutes.
    Thanks for your reply.

Start at the bottom and work up.

Forget WMC, try and get the box to talk IP first.

I doubt the device will connect to an ad-hoc network. It may only work with access points. Check the manual/web site. On the device there must be some sort of WiFi info screen, signal strength, and so on. Check that.

Have you manually set and IP address and have you specified the mask correctly?
Can you ping it from Windows/DOS?
    Is Windows Firewall switched on?
