Would you like a chance to get a behind the scenes tour of a national news broadcast?
AVForums member Dan Rogers, a Senior Programme Director at ITV News, has offered to give 5 forum members a unique look into the editorial and production workflows that go into producing a live news show.

The tour will start in the ITV Newsroom where you will get an overview of how it's laid out, who does what and why, then go down to the ITV News studio which houses a VR set. It's a very impressive setup and full of kit and interesting technical and design solutions to help make it look as convincing as it does. Then into the gallery for an introduction to all the key jobs, general television production techniques and questions from the guests, then watch the Lunchtime News go out on ITV, normally a very busy show and a great example of what happens in a gallery during a live programme. Then back to the newsroom afterwards to listen to the editorial debrief of the show. Arrive at 12.15pm, finished at 2.15pm.

All you need to do to have a chance to join the tour is to answer the easy question on the competition page.
The tour will take place on Monday 17th December at the ITN Studios, 200 Gray’s Inn Road, London WC1X 8XZ.

The prize draw is open to active, well-known and distinguished AVForums members who are subscribed to the newsletter.

Good luck!

Interesting prize, entered. Used to live right there, in student digs on the corner of Guilford St, when it opened (or was refitted?) around 91/92, regularly spotting the likes of John Suchet, Michael Brunson et al.
