Win 7 pro ignoring folder when searching

Hi all,

I have a new Win 7 setup and there's a particular heavily used folder on an external HDD drive that I use as a download repository for anything d/l'ded off the web.

For some reason, it is ignoring this folder when I 'search' via Win Explorer. No contents will be found (the message 'No items match your search' appears) although I can have the specific file/folder open in an adjacent window! I can find contents of other folders on this drive, and the drive itself is indexed, but I can't understand why this folder specifically is causing problems.

Can anyone suggest why? Thanks.

Type index in the start menu search and open "Indexing options" you might be able to get some info in there about what is going on
