I've finally given up on the Pace Twin, and its going back to the retailer because of the poor picture quality. I'll probably buy a Netgem I-Player, but was wondering if they have any plans to bring out something similar to the Pace twin (twin tuner, built-in hard disc recorder, etc) but with decent picture quality?

    Regards

    Rob

Well, I read in the Pace S/W thread that you considered any other announcements vapour-ware so apologies if you already know about these, but I'm certainly holding for Fusion's machines:

The two above are the same except cosmetically, and the expected RRP is £250.

If you hanker after an easy-to-archive system, this one looks tasty for £350:

Interestingly, Fusion have officially rented some of the digital bandwidth, which they intend to use for a 7-day EPG - making the PVR functionality MUCH more useful.

Also, Humax announced a twin-tuner PVR recently as well, with upgradeable HDD:

All are supposedly due for release here in October - I wouldn't hold my breath, but I'm certainly going to break my early-adopter status and hold out for them, as they seem SO much more functional than the Pace twin.
