William Goldman

RIP William Goldman.

One of the great screenwriters, whose credits include 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid', 'The Stepford Wives', 'Marathon Man', 'A Bridge Too Far', 'Magic', 'The Princess Bride', 'Misery' and 'A Few Good Men' among many others. :(

A great screenwriter as you mention Mr Lime and the films you state, but after reading the book Absolute Power I though he dropped the ball and took the premise and took it in a totally different direction apart from Clint seeing what he saw was the only thing the same. Although in the middle 3rd gets bogged down the last 3rd one of those stay up all night to finish real edge of the seat stuff.
apart from the bit where Clint sees what the president does the rest of the book not about him but its repercussions.
