Will those "cheap" DVD players with 1080i upscaling show MUCH better picture on Sanyo Z1 !??? in compare with Philips 963SA's 480p/575p ??!

I am looking for any "real" experience for all those Sanyo Z1 owners here, that have :-
    (1) Sanyo Z1 projector (and display for about 60")
    (2) Philips 963SA DVD player
    (3) using long Canare Component video cable (30 feets)

and have owned / compared with any of the "cheap" DVD players able to upscale DVD to 1080i (e.g. Skyworth 3050/3250, or the GK-3118 ...etc.) --- which maybe good for the Z1's native resolution of 960x540 !???

and what about those "cheap" players' "digital audio output" sound quality when decoded by the Surround Amp ???

Looking for any advice & thanks !
