I haven't heard anything about to Spiderman 2 being released on Superbit in the UK, but I would imagine it will be released next year... It could be a while though

There´s only a R1 superbit spiderman 2 and the R2 superbit version of spiderman 1.

It doesn´t look like spiderman 2 superbit is coming out on PAL. Anyone know if it´s in future plans.. I´d try and only buy PAL DVD´s(especially ones like spider man, LOTR etc.) to get the extra resolution and smoother pans.

Probably around the same time Region 1 gets its extended edition of Spiderman 2 ( be aware the UK has a very tiny headbutt scene which has been cut its a blink and ur miss it scene and frankly i'm baffled as to why it was cut as its nowhere near as violent as Lord Of The Rings Fellowship headbutt scene which got a PG and both belong to the fantasy genre )

Columbia aka Sony love to make us pay several times for the same product so expect countless releases starting with Superbit followed by extended edition followed by extended edition Superbit followed by 3 disc extended edition with extras etc etc etc

Well if it´s NTSC then there is no point in getting it over the R1 version.

But that's not what the OP asked. He asked for R2. And Japan is R2.

True enough. I on the other hand I´m looking for a PAL R2, because of the most likely better PQ.
