Question in the title folks. What do you think?
on the 12th of December or there abouts.
Play.com have re-listed the ROTK Extended Edition Collectors Boxsets with a release date of 10th December, thankfully I didnt cancel my pre-order from when they originally listed it because my 10% Discount is still valid so I will be getting it for £30.59
How much do you think the boxset for all 3 extended editions will retail for?
Indiana Jones - check out the bargains thread mate.
www.dvd.co.uk - you can pre-order LOTR ROTK extended edition for £17.99.
Pre-ordered mine yesterday.
I think what Indiana Jones is referring to is the collectors boxset edition with statue/figurine as opposed to the 4 disc version for £17.99 from DVD.co.uk.
£30 for that is a good price.
I think what IJ is referring to is a box set of all 3 Extended Editions in one..... Yes/No?
If so havent heard anything but no doubt there will be!
£30 for a box set of all extended editions would be pretty damn good.
I was reffering to the Return of the King Extended Edition Collectors Boxset, I had it pre-ordered before Play.com removed it a few weeks aho and now that they have re-listed it my pre-order is valid again and for less than £31 delivered its a bargain, even dvd.co.uk want £38.99 for it and high street shops will probaley be selling it for £45+, just have to find the Fellowship of the Ring EE Collectors Boxset now as I missed out on that one.
Slightly in the DVD talk forum, but does anyone know if the EE of ROTK will be released in the cinemas at all ?
Was tempted by that, thought about selling my Two Towers Collectors Boxset and buying it but now that I have been able to get the Region 1 Fellowship of the Ring Collectors Boxset for £25 I will stick with my pre-order.
dr mike, they released the other 2 in extended versions at the cinema for a short time, but I reckon this was to do with 'advertising' the next film in the series. I hope I'm wrong, as I'd jump at the chance.
PS the IMAX in london's southbank is showing all 3 (non extended) films on their imax screen in november
PPS scotty boy, game.net have the extended trilogy on dvd for £32.99
I received an email from Game on Saturday with the EE boxset for £32.99.
Needless to say I ordered it. It may have been a mistake as I've checked the site and it now says £44.99. ?!?
Oh well, chuffed I ordered it straight away.
Return of the King Extended Edition Collectors Boxset is £31.99 at Amazon, for those looking for the best pre-order price I think this is it.
£24.99 at Movietyme
Thats only the extended edition, not the boxset edition
Got my box set this morning from game paid £34.49. nice solid box as well
Same here. My Dad will be pleased, I'm giving him the three standard versions.
LOTR EE box set is £50 in HMV , just seen it today ,this is still a great price for anyone that doesn't own any of the EE films
Got my gift boxset from play. The Minas Tirith model is well detailed. Would of perfered of the the beasts or characters though. Its a bit boring to look at, compared to the amazing golumn model last time round.
Cant wait to watch the film again.
I got a look at the R2 "Extended Edition Trilogy" box this evening - IMO it is a very cheap looking piece of work.
The sleeves for each of the movies are a smooth, shiny, paper thin affair (unlike the sturdy, textured R1) and the outer box that the three sets are stored in is a big let down
I have all 3 in R1 format - IMO a vastly superior effort by the distributors.
A mate in the States has ordered one of these for me - I would like to think it is to the same standard of the individual R1 releases.
The R2 "EE's" that come in the "Gift Set" packaging with the miniature statues have much thicker, solid card sleeves - much like their R1 counterparts.
It's the individual R2 "EE's" that come in the thinner outer packing. Obviously these have been bundled together for the trilogy box set.
Whats the cheapest anyones has seen the EE box set?
Just the standard one, don't need any more cheap plastic toys thanks !
