Question Will the 960 ever support HDR over HDMI

I understand you are not LG so its mostly speculative, but since other companies have upgraded 2.0 to 2a (hdr ready ports) via firmware do you think there's chance LG can do this since they have said they wont in the current update.

If they never do, and I rarely use the tv's smart features is the 970 if cheaper a better option, or is the 960 showing further improvements, and I think i'd prefer curved than flat so probably not looking at the 950.

AFAIK no. Because it's a hardware issue, not a software one.

Lg nordic did say Lg was working on a "solution" for the hdmi HDR situation for the 960 owners might come still

HDMI might be updated by software, so there is a possibility.
