Will stuck pixels go away or die eventually?

I have a 2 day old PT-AE100 and it's got a bright blue stuck pixel after about 10 minutes of being on. :(

Is this likely to go away/fix itself/die and turn black/etc?

I was thinking of getting an ae100.

Is this something where you can send it back for exchange.

I read somewhere that komplett.co.uk do a pixel check before sending a PJ, would this type of thing be prevented if I bought one there?

not necessarily obi-wan, dead pixels can develop over time.

    Thanks Tor,

I gave this a quick go with various yellows but the pixel is so bright that it doesn't seem to make a difference. It even shows up on black! :(

They can but very rarely do. Bad pixels are most normally there right from the start, and rarely develop (or disappear) in use.

Something I've always wondered about: Do (good) dead pixels go to pixel heaven? and where do the bad pixels go?
