I was looking at the AOC 19" LCD TFT - L19W851B for the bedroom as a second Sky HD TV.

Details of TV HERE........anyone got one?............any good?

I use Component to feed HD to my main panel so would be feeding the AOC via HDMI.

This new AOC has a 16:10 aspect ratio so my question is..........would there be a noticeable stretching of the 16:9 pictures from my HD box?

It depends on the screen mode of the AOC - surely there should be a 16:9 mode that leaves thin black bars as well as 'Full Screen'? I don't know this TV but check on-screen menus or even RTFM!

Hmmm, when I said I was "looking" at the AOC it was in the sense of "considering" buying it.

If I actualy had the TV I would have checked the aspect modes...............................and if I had TFM you can be sure I would RTFM:eek:

There is no download for TFM on the AOC site but I have written to them with the same question.

I have a 19in 16:10 monitor and yes it stretches a bit but tbh you don't really notice it unless you make it really obvious by putting on the SkyHD Test Card :D
