Will SKY install if I buy my own HD box?

Got my setup all nicely sorted now but, I now want SKY HD to take full advantage of my LCD and my 5.1

I have SKY atm but, it is the standard box albeit with a high package - thing is I don't want to pay £300 just for the box and then maybe another £60 for installation if I choose not to have the Multiroom option (I could, just not sure how the cable installation to upstairs bedroom will be completed and if an additional cost will be incurred)

Question is, if I can acquire a Thomson/SKY HD box from another source (fleabay etc etc) then will SKY still come and install it for the standard installation fee of £60?

Any input welcome.

thanks

I think they will install it, and if you have another TV, Multi Room is worth it.

Have a look on some of the other threads.

You can get a box for £149 from Midsat or Pennine Plus, and they charge £60 install - or contact a local satellite/aerial/electrical company.

Alternatively, try your local Currys or Comet, and try for the £149 deal there.
