will sky ever go, pay as you go/view?

is this just me or would a vast amount of people get sky on a pay as you go/view contract.with the tecnology we have today this must be quite easy to do. you could register your payment details and pay for what you have viewed at the end of each month.as i dont want to be one of those people who funds the vast amounts that sky throw into football,(i don't dislike footy) i think this would prove a very popular type of contract. or would sky worry about loosing too much money on this type of deal?
if plenty of people emailed sky would this make them think? what are you views?

You hit the nail on the head.
Give the viewer the option to pay just for what they watch and 99% of channels would vanish overnight and the rest would be forced to charge very high prices to compensate for the loss of the revenue from over 7million package subscribers.
