    Hi :)

currently got a Sony 28" FQ75 on its original stand, it stands on the three pillars, will say a 32" lcd (weight 21kg) be ok to just stand on the glass shelves between the pillars, where normally a video or dvd would sit, will the glass crack & break?

I would have thought that provided the stand of the LCD covers at least half the width of the footprint of the previous tv you should have any problems.

If it was a 21kg stilletto placed in the middle then you might have problems but otherwise I would expect the glass to be rated well in excess of the weight they tell the consumer.

It should be fine. I reckon your CRT TV weighs loads more than that. Had my old Sony 28" CRT on a cabinet which was starting to groan under the weight but my new 32" LCD TV is loads lighter.

Yeah it weighs more (approx 50kg), but sits on the 3 pillars & not the glass its self, more of a question of what the max weight can the glass handle.
