Will i see much of a inprovement

    I have pioneer av receiver vsx-811 paired with some eltax atomic 5.1 speakers old i now i am intrested in the KEF KHT-2005.2 speakers would i see a good inprovement in sound quality or not. :lesson:

    Don't know the speakers, are they some of those zilver boxes you get with a dvd player for 150 pounds or?

    The kef set should in that case provide a good step forward :)

    You'll obviously go a leap forward then...maybe even better might be to go with two floorstanders and a center and two smaller rears all from the same range. Those floorstanders will give you a much better stereo reproduction most of the time...

    But have a look what's in your budget first!

    Its just that the kefs can be had for £500 now you now.

    They are a bargain for £500, i have had the kefs and had no complaints. Should be a massive jump in quality for you :thumbsup:

    I think sevenoaks stock the kef system, Why not take your amp along and have a listen which would be the best thing to do.

    You might hear a difference and to my ears the cantons CD series are better speakers......

    you will hear a HUGE difference over the Eltax speakers. I promise :) You may find Mordaunt Short Premieres offer as much for a smaller price though
