Will i loose PQ with a 10m hdmi

    ive had to move my reciver to the other side of the room now i need a 10m hdmi lead to connect it to my projector will i loose much picture quality with it bein such a long run

    My personal opnion here is that yes this would work but at lengths like these the quality of the cable is paramount.

    Something like a bettercables HDMI cable may be the way to go.

    Being digital you'll find it either works or it doesn't, typical errors appear as white specks or lines and the results can vary depending on the power/sensitivity of the transmitter and receiver at either end.

    It's worth avoiding using adapters (if you have a mix of DVI/HDMI) as they can degrade the signal and at 10m you want to avoid any more loses.

    If possible get one from somewhere that accepts returns as results vary on different kit, also test every res you want to use (I've got one 10m that works fine for 720p and 1080i but has speckles at 480p/576p :confused: ).

    thanks for your reply also the lead came today ive connected it up and all seems fine carnt notice any PQ differnce
