I'm just wondering if when HD-DVD comes out most people won't upgrade their set to a HDTV model.

So for a normal TV, say 36" CRT widescreen- would changing over from a DVD-Video player (using compnonent) to a HD-DVD player (using component) result in better picture quality?

We'll have to wait and see how well such DVD players down res their output and how well the discs themselves are encoded......it'll be a while anyway.
