Will AGP be a thing of the past?

    Newer motherboards all seem to have just PCI and PCI Express slots..

    Also, what's the difference between PCI Express x1 and x16? Are there any PCI Express x16 cards available at the moment (video cards or audio cards)?

    AGP will go the way of the dodo. Give it maybe two years tops , less than that if you want the fastest cards.
