I just moved to London from NY and have a one year old Pioneer DVD Recorder. If I use a buy a transformer to deal with the voltage difference, will this device work with Sky? the transformer is going to be expensive (100+) and at least my local hardware store wont take it back.
    Any BTDTs?

    Thanks

I would very much doubt it would work. The TV standard of NTSC will probably be the only standard it would record in. You could try looking on the manufacturers website and checking the specifications for it. I wouldnt go splashing out on that transformer before i knew for certain though.

I should have sold it before I moved. No point in holding on to it for 3 yrs.

Check the manual - some Pioneer's will record PAL and NTSC.

Won't a step down converter do the job? They can be had for around £20 if you do a search.
