I have a JVC widescreen television which is less than 1 year old, I have been informed that it will not work in holland. Can anybody confirm this or offer any solution.
I believe the problem is because they use a different version of PAL?

It will work as a MONITOR only ie - WILL
Work with a DVD, Laserdisc, dutch VCR (if connected via SCART or Video or SVideo), dutch Set Top box etc.

The bit that possibly WON'T work is the tuner. It will pick up picture but may not pick up sound off-air (depends on the spec. of the tuner - some ARE capable, some aren't).

The same is true of VCRs. UK VCRs won't (normally) pick up dutch TV off-air.

And - if you buy a dutch VCR - the TV won't work with it, if it's connected via the RF (aerial) cable. But it will work via SCART etc. ie if you by-pass the TV's tuner.
