I have it on HD DVD. It's one of my favourite films and I was pleased that it was released on HD.
The PQ is very good, very clear and detailed picture. I've seen the film so many times and on different mediums that watching it on HD was almost like seeing it for the first time.
AQ is OK, I think it's a bit of step up from SD, but nothing remarkable. Though I did notice that the bridge explosion had a bit more bass that on the SD.
You also get all the special features from the SE, all in all a must have, if you are a fan of the movie.

    :thumbsup:Excellent feedback, thankyou Blackblood

I have so far been gobsmacked with the quality of these older films (The shining,Robin Hood, casablanca, unforgiven etc) and this looks nlike a welcome addition to my growing collection:smashin:

Yeah, don't hesitate to get this one in HD.

PS If you already have the Wild Bunch in SD, the upgrade to HD is definitely worth it!

It looks as good as it ever will.

Well worth buying if you're a fan of the film.

    Hi there

Any of you guys playing this on an XBOX 360 HD-DVD?

Mine won't play and I read elsewhere it's a known issue with all Wild Bunch HD disks.

Tell me about it, i didnt really want to upgrade my DVD back catalogue apart from my favourites, this is one, but i am now starting to contemplate updating my second favourites where available; HD (on either format) is amazing imo

Ditto. In a western mood, so just ordered The Wild Bunch, Rio Bravo, The Assassination of Jesse James and Wyatt Earp on HD DVD.

Just received this disk and I am experiencing the above mentioned problem. The XBox add on doesn't recognise the disk. Not a major problem as I will have the Tosh 35 tomorrow, but I'd still like to get it sorted.

Do Warner have a replacement program for this or is there an XBox update due to cover it?
