Wii VGA Cable on Wii U???

Is this a daft question? Can you use a Wii VGA cable with the Wii U, obviously you'd get no sound but can you get a picture?

In theory you should be able to as they both have the exact same port, you can use wii component cables so I can't see why you couldnt use the vga cable. Can't say for certain though as its not something I have tried but can't see any reason why it shouldnt.

Cheers for reply. Got a Wii component cable and your right it does work. Cant find info on the net where someone has tried a vga cable.

I finally bought a VGA cable off ebay and it works in 720p on my monitor.
