i am now sitting glued to my screen watching ebuyer, reloading page every ten seconds, wonder if i will get one today ha ha

i really wish everybody would boycott ebay and leave the greedy B******S

i got one from GAME an hour ago.

they got stock yesterday and all were pre ordered but the manager took my name and number and said he'd call if any more came in or someone didnt collect.

    i've now got my wii!

my tip - don't phone - be visible in the shop - GAME "may" be getting more this week so get to your local game, be friendly with the manager and you never know your luck!

 I got mine from game this morning... stuck at work now itching to get home and play it.

At least it now seems like some stock is coming through.:smashin:

I'm so glad I resisted the urge I had last night to buy one on ebay.

Oh and I was scared as hell walking down the town center with it, it was drawing a LOT of attention

It annoys me that a lot of people, including a colleague at work who sold 3 on ebay for £320+ state 'it's just the law of supply and demand'.

Yeah right, you remove 3 - 10 consoles for sale along with 1000's of others and the supply is reduced, which increases demand. That is not what I believe is supply and demand, rather restricting supply to increase demand. People selling a one or two for 2x or 3x RRP, no problem what can you expect we all like free money, but 10+, that's not right.

I managed to secure a Wii on Amazon recently but looking at the speed they sold I suspect they were being ordered in 10's.
If you can wait until Dec 27th you might find that there's a quite a drop in the ebay price, and by mid-Jan we'll all have forgotten about this, until our pre-orders for the PS3 come in.:D

Guess each shop make their own rules.

Don't know why they're so hard to come across, Today was the first time I tried to get myself one and lo and behold, walked into GAME in carlisle and there they were behind the counter*.

Tho they didn't have any spare nunchucks, had to check a couple of other shops for that, but found that too.

    * = to be fair, I do count myself extremely lucky and hope that everyone who wants one gets one soon.

On release day of the 360 last year i was in woolworths and saw they still had one left , went over to buy it and just as i asked if there was any left one of the members of staff threw a coat over it and another member stood over it so i couldnt see it. i pointed out what they had just done and they replied "no thats just an empty box". i was so annoyed i rang woolworths head office and they said although we dont encourage members of staff to purchase them , theres nothing we can do to stop them. what crap that is , and i think you will find thats where alot of wii's went this year.

Also in the nearest game to me the manager was sacked as he kept practually all the 360 supply and sold them on ebay :smashin:

thats the kind of thing that really gets to me, that these idiots are playing us.

all i have had from my kids is why i cant just purchase from ebay!

but on this occasion i am refusing because, yes it is supply and demand matter, but if it was a level playing field then, buggers that are on ebay would
not have 12 or more units to sell.

hope paypal goes bankrupt and they get bugger all. ha ha

    sorry getting upset now.:D

I came across a heartwarming tale today. I popped in to VM in Croydon an hour ago, the sale assistant knew my face and came up to me and offered me a Wii. They had two left. I had to buy 4 games, but luckily they had Play and Zelda in so I was happy.

Anyway, while I was there a guy came in and tried to baggsy the last Wii. The sales assistant refused to sell him one, as it would have been the fourth Wii he purchased from the branch. It all kicked off ("it's for a friend", lots of shouting and ranting)and got quite rowdy but the VM assistant stood his ground and refused to sell it, bless his heart.

Good work VM in trying to stand up for the consumer.

Makes me laugh when people sell them on ebay

"I am single mother with 5 children, I can not have enough to feed them all, I q up for 3 years 7 months 28 days and 23 hours to get one to sell. They RRP at (lets say 200) 200! But with me needing to feed my children I will sell for 800 please I have lots of hungry little mouths to feed"

Bit exagerated but ive seen it done.

Hell if people are short for money play poker! On a table in 2 hours I went from $20 to $230. That is just over £100 for 2 hours entertainment. Heck less hastle than buying and selling a Wii!

Also watched a higher steak table were a guy went from $5,000 to $17,000 in 30 mins! I was like damn!
