Wii and Receiver issue - please help!

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me with a little problem.

I have a Nintendo Wii and if I plug if directly into my TV (Sharp LC45GD1E) I get a picture no problem; either via Component or Composite.

But if I try to route video through my VSX-AX4AVi I just get an Out of range message on my screen.

I have a XBOX360 and a PS3 plugged into the VSX-AX4AVi and have no problems with them.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Wayne

What is a VSX-AX4AVi?

I think you can delete the other thread. You may need to be in edit mode.

I've had no problems using my Wii though my Yamaha receiver. Are you using composite or component video? If you're using component, then do you have the official Nintendo cable or a third party one?

Sorry should have been clearer!

The VSX is a Pioneer reciever.

I am using a third party cable but I get the same if I use the composite cable that came with my Wii.

Do you use the hdmi monitor out of your vsx? If yes you've my identical problem: this amp needs to get an update of the firmware! If you go to the Pioneer american site (www.pioneerelectronics.com) you'll see that this model and some others need an update of the firmware. Bye!
