WIFI range extender

HI

I have a BT broadband connection at home and I want to extend the range of the signal using a WIFI extender but broadcasting the same SSID as that of BT router . The wireless extended which I am using is devolo dLAN 500.
I would appreciate if someone can guide me how to do this in detail.
