Wifi Extension via electrical sockets.

Hi. I hope I'm posting in the right place.

I'm after a bit of help with my home broadband network.

I was looking into using homeplugs but wondered if they would work as the rooms are on different circuits where I was intending to use them. If this is a problem is there a work around? Also is there a solution that allows one end to be used as a wifi hotspot instead of just ethernet?

Thanks.
