Question WiFi Camera, not made in China?

Hi,

I currently have a EZVIZ wifi camera and I'm pretty happy with its performance, but I am growing uneasy about China's role in the world and their human rights issues within their own borders (Further I don't enjoy the thought I have paid for CCP to potentially surveil me in my own home, I usually pull the power when I am at home).

I'm looking to replace this and expand to have a few more.

What I like about the current camera is the mobile app for remote monitoring, it saves the data to an SD card (with option for the cloud), is motion/sound activated and there are no ongoing payments/subscriptions required and the picture quality is decent too.

I would prefer also that the device(s) are not only, not from a Chinese company but manufactured anywhere but China too.

Hopefully the great people of this forum have some suggestions.

If you have to buy Chinese, with a suitable firewall config, you can block all communication to the companies servers, in, out, or both ways.

I'm not sure I'd be able to then use the mobile app though, while I realize this might be an option that could work I'd rather not the hassle (I think it'd just disconnect and bin it instead).

In general I wouldn't out of choice buy anymore goods from there (where components that make up stuff made elsewhere are from is not something I have a choice in though), if I had more than one cheapish camera/made significant investment though I'd put the effort in, thanks for the suggestion.

I think you may struggle on a domestic level, I think semi/pro may be the only way AFAIK.
Good luck though.
