Sorry photos didn't work. Please scroll Down
Is there supposed to be photos?
She still moans about the amp, "to big and ugly" but the unit does cover some of it and the speaker stand afe not on her love list but as you can see a well placed plant pot helps.
A few plants here and there!!!
The front speaker is going to stay on the floor. Intended to fix under plasma but it didn't go down to well and to be honest it looked bad so I'll let the wife think shes won that one.
pics please lol
cool setup mate.
hehe nice use of plants to deter the wife
i like your av table/stand, very cool indeed
Very nice mate.
It seems your wife really doesn't like the look of hi-fi at all!
Well done on persevering and getting a system you're happy with.
Just a suggestion but why not stick the sat/freeview box on the floor and place the speaker on the cabinet. Grey plastic box versus an attractive wood veneered cabinet is a bit of a no brainer.
I bet if you swapped it without telling her she would see the light.....or kick your ass out the house.
This weekend it's time to show her who wears the trousers.
I've got your back
Very nice, I like these living room setups, it's where many of us have to work in, good all round job, who';s your stand made by?
Agree with madskills on the speaker issue, it's an attractive wood finish, better than a plastic box surely, swop em, do it, if it doesn't work out there's always the B&B
And the sound would be a lot better !
Yep, I know you are right, the speaker would be better on top, but the speaker is cherry and the unit is in oak, only the sub was available in oak finish and that is hidden under a oak lamp table and looks quite good if I do say so my self (even the wife gave praise on that one).
I wanted to fix the speaker under the plasma, that's why there is quite a space between TV and unit but this was to much for the lady of the house.
As for sound, it works very well. I tried it on the unit and then on the floor and there is not much difference, yes it would be great to have the speaker highier but as I said this is "Wife friendly".
Future plans are to upgrade the sky box to HD (when the price comes down and the channels increase) and that box looks "quite sexy" according to to the wife!!!
I think I'm getting to her, or is she is just playing me???
I'm trying to find the name of the unit but we got it from Lenleys of Canterbury. When I find the bill I will post name.
Love the unit Nice set up overall but that centre really needs to move Im so glad my partner is into AV too, couldnt put up with that sort of attitude
Separate names with a comma.
