    Hello there

I'm using my brand new Denon 3910 with a Cambridge Audio (£50) DVI cable to Sagem HD-D56

On the movies I get random colour dots flying accross the screen. On cartons they appear all the time. pixels randomly placed on the screen. Some times there are stripes accross the whole screen.
On regular movies I don't see the random pixels, but I see the stripes accross the screen.

This only happens when I set the DVD player to 720p and 1080i

I've tried 3 different cables. And I can't see the pixel problem on a PC screen running 720p. So this is coming from the Sagem screen.

I tried 16:9 and NATIF on the Sagem screen. And I've changed the DVD player from Normal DVI white to Enhanced.

Check out the screen shots. IceAge shows you the problem well. The Saraha one is a big rough, but you can still see it.

Thanks for any ideas on this.

Looks like a problem with the DVD player otherwise I would expect to see it on every source.

Try using component 720p and 1080i if you don’t have a component lead just use a normal Yellow, Red, White Video Cable.

I haven't got the Sagem - i've got the Sammy SP50, but i have got a Denon 2910 player, linked via HDMI, and i've tried just about every combination of setting, i.e., 720, 1080, RGB, y cb cr (or whatever its called) and i've never seen an effect like that mate, is it continous over a period of time?, you also mention its only when displaying 720p or 1080i, are you saying you don't get it whilst outputting 480/576

It only happens on 720p/1080i.. 480p/576p is ok.
Component doesn't have the problem, but it doesn't look very good.

The reason why I didn't think it was the DVD player was because my PC monitor doesn't have the problem running DVI off it.

I'll see if I can get my PC hooked up to it and see if it happens.

Well in that case it must be the TV.
I didn’t realise you connected the DVD player to the PC Monitor using DVI.

Also you said component is not very good.
