width of stand = LCD TV, any good?

I'm looking to buy the Sony 40V2000 LCD and get a glass corner stand for it to sit on.

I saw this one in Ikea: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stor...20&categoryId=15962&chosenPartNumber=00086678

Its width is 100cm and the Sony is 98.8cm.

What I'd like to know is if the two will work together and be cosmetically pleasing, and if not can someone pleae suggest alternatives.

You need to find the width of the base of the tv stand. My LG lcd is longer than my stand but the base is alot smaller it fits fine.

If you measurement is the width of the stand then you might have problems ?

Like what else would you store on the top shelf!! remotes, speakers ect.
