Hi I was just wondering if any one could tell me what the width of the Sky HD box is please? Im going to be getting it soon and would like to know the width so I can make sure I have space when the engineer comes. My current Sky box(standard Sky) is next to my DVD player in a cabinet and from my measurements our Sky+ box from downstairs would fit with about 40mm to spare, basically I have 420mm width to be able to fit the box into it.

Width is just under 40cm. A word of caution the box vents from the side, the left hand side is were the fan is and can get a bit warm.

Cheers. Well with my DVD player I have about 420mm spare. So I can put the Sky box right against the edge of the DVD player and leave the left hand side about 20mm of space. The unit is open so has lots of space at the back, above and no front blocking air getting to the unit, so shouldnt get many heat problems.

How come they vent from the side rather than the rear, or are there also rear vents?
