    Hi there,

I was wondering if anybody out there can recommend a good widescreen tv (pref. 28"), under £500. The only specs I would prefer is 3 Scart and probably NIcam stereo as my current stereo system is rather poor. I've read a few good reviews, but it would be nice to hear from other punters out there.

    Thanks,

    Mark

I bought a JVC for around £350 - It's 28" Widesceen with Nicam Stereo and isn't digital, i have it in my bedroom and it's spot-on! I don't have the model number to hand, cos I'm in Holland, but it got some very good reviews and I got it on-line. I think Empire Direct might do it. I can did the model number out when I get back if you like? Matt.

I bought my JVC 28WFR1 last week from Sound and Vision for £280 (in stock) I have nothing to compare it to but I am very impressed (I sound like someone who's been sh*gging a hole in a fence discovering a pig's arse - not that I'd .... OK , enough)
It has 3 scarts (1 RGB) and a centre speaker and pro logic built in. Not much benefit if you've already got your sound sorted but very handy for me until I do. I'll be severely p*ssed off if Cinders has the same model as me for £350 but I'm usually hard to please as a consumer, and I'm very happy with my first wide screen TV.
Check out Ice cool's posts for some good links re. this model

Sorry - that should have read £480 for my JVC 28 WFR1 - and apologies for the pig analogy!
