widescreen panny & dvd

    I have a friend who would like to buy a panasonic widescreen tv & dvd he has a budget of around £1500 what are his options. I gave him advice about Toshiba gear but he hankers back to Panasonic hope someone can help out. Cheers

    I had 2 Panny tvs. one was a 36 the other was a rp. I know that the crt tvs of panny suffer from this moire effect when playing reg 1 dvds. Thats why mine had to go. It also had vertical bars which were quite noticable. Apart from that it was a great tv. If you are not watching reg 1 dvds then go for a panny otherwise avoid. Thats just going by my own experience
