Whats the best at £400 or less?

I've looked and can't seem to find the Philips one that I found for about £370 online anymore :( I think that was the 17PF9945.

Can anyone please recommend me some, thanks.

I've had a little look around and I've found this Philips 17PF9946. Its a little over my budget at about £450 but I like the specs

What does everyone think of it? Any good?

I've got one - I already had a 17PF9945 and wanted another for the kitchen. I bought a 17PF9946 and although the onscreen display is nicer, I prefer the look and picture on the 17PF9945.

The 9945 is still available, as our other screens for < £400 widescreen (such as Relisys). Have a look at uk.pricerunner.com.....

    Personally, I would get a 17PF9945.

I have just ordered a Hyundai WTP17 priced £399.99, (srp £575.), from Hi-Fi Confidential www.hificonfidential.co.uk due for delivery to me Friday. If you want its spec. go to the reviews section in these forums. It received **** from What Video back in February.

I'm looking for a LCD for the kitchen too, around 17-20 inch. The Hyundai looks ok for the money, before i buy I'd apreciate any other good options from people in the know? Budget up to around £500 (i only know plasma screens  )

Well I decided to spend a little more and go for the Hitachi 22LD4200 which seems very well specified for the price. Should get it by Monday

Wow..that is an amazing price for a 22" lcd. I am also looking for a smallish tv for my bedroom (for connecting to a pc and maybe telewest box), would be interested to find out how good this is.

On a related note, does anyone make a 17" widescreen monitor? I'm looking for a second set which will be fed by the zone 2 video output from my AV amp, and it seems a shame to have to pay for a tuner and built-in speakers which I'll never use.

Well, for those interested, my Hyundai 17" w/s LCD tv was delivered overnight from Hi-Fi Confidential, (good efficient service), and I am delighted with the tv! It is extremely user friendly, has every connection and control you could wish for and has a superb picture and excellent sound. Black is deep black and the colour has a wide range of adjustment. All in all, for £399.99 it is an excellent buy and I recommend it to anyone seeking a small widescreen tv.

it's made by a turkish manufacturer (vestel) and nothing to do with hitachi except for the badge. very poor contrast in some reviews and plain ugly. not worth it.
