This keeps happening on my Samsung A5 2016. The Wi-Fi is from a virgin super hub 3 and I'm sat about 3 feet away. I've tried forgetting the network as well as manually inputting the settings for a static IP. It is only my phone that does this. Turning Wi-Fi on and off solves the problem for a couple of minutes before the same error occurs. A reboot of the router does not solve it. Apart from factory resetting the phone is there anything else I can try?

It might be too close, I had this situation with some equipment I am testing at work.
Oddly enough with an Intel WiFi module, not an el cheapo.

Strange. Didn't think being so close could cause this issue. I have Wi-Fi extenders around the house and haven't noticed it with them so you may be right. Also strange how it only occurs on one android device and not my other 2

The device I have been testing has very good antennae so the range is great but within two metres of the test router it can't connect.
