The other week someone taped Buffy for me off ITV Digital, whilst I watched Indy in W/S. On watching Buffy in one small spot I got some slight pixilation. As the transmitter is very near to them and is in a clear line of site, how come this happened. I know Sky gets it with bad weather but it has to travel a long way up and back.
    So how come this happened.

I don't think that we really needed to know that.

    LOL Ian.

As for pixelation, it's not the distance that matters. It's the amount of compression used.

Season 5 of Buffy has not been converted from NTSC in a satisfactory way (admitted by the BBC too) and the quality is not of a high standard.

So, your pixellation could be a conversion artefact or it could just be compression.
