I keep reading that the Panasonic PW7 is a very good buy. I am thinking of the Viera TH42PE30B because of its gorgeous looks. Is there much difference between the two? Am I making a bad choice?

Also, if I order a Plasma, I have a choice of two scarts leads on the website:

1. Bandridge PGV-7000 Professional 21Pin Scart Lead for £48

or

2. Bandridge PGV-7392 High Quality 21Pin Scart Lead for £30

Which should I go for? I will be using it mostly with a Sky+ box.

Regards,

Jon

Depends on what sort of equipment you have. The PW7 is just a panel..no tuner, no speakers. The PE30 is a TV has a tuner and speakers.

The PE30's major downfall is that it will not accept 720p. Could be a costly mistake if Sky chose to use this for their HD service in 2006.

When exactly in 2006 is the Sky HD service due?

If they do broadcast in 720p, does this mean:

1. I can still watch Sky but only on the non-HD resolution?

2. I could get some kind of converter box to let me use it?

Thanks,

Jon
