    Hi all,

I'm just curious as to why this area see's so little traffic and most seem to use the Console Gaming area for discussions like the PSP vs DS. So I'll perhaps have to start a few here myself and see what the response is like.

Well, there's a few to be going on with. But I think it's going to be a bit lonely here.

It's probably because the people into this kind of thing possibly don't know the forum exists. I ought to register some domains and have them point here.

Maybe the forum should be re-named to "portable gaming", rather than "mobile gaming" (which implies a discussion board about snake & snake 2!!)

Or maybe people view their GBA/DS/PSP as extensions of their consoles and therefore refer to the console gaming section of the forum?

I have pointed out this forum to a few of the more mature people posting on the 'Nintendo hosted Community Forums'. However, most contributors do seem to have an average age of about 13, with written English about 9! My spelling has always been poor, but going onto these sites has been a real shock.

    Hi Spectre,
    :hiya:
Is there any point in having a seperate area that is used so little? The threads I have posted would probably have got a much bigger response if I'd posted in the Console section (perhaps). As I spent about 5 hours last night on the Net I kept looking in at who was veiwing the threads - everytime it was a 'Guest'. I must admit that in most cases the forums I have found & continued to use have been thrown up by Google when look for information. When I first used this site it was because I was about to purchase a projector - so that was the only place I looked, then on to cables, then on to gaming consoles. Each time there has been really useful information and advice. But this section - you can almost visualise the tumbleweed rolling down the deserted street, with the sound of a door creaking in the wind. In reality I realise its a bit of a 'catch 22' situation with no one posting on here, because of the low responses and no one visiting due to the lack of posts and so on.

    I don't think a mobile/handheld forum is really necessary.

I view handhelds as consoles and any threads on handhelds deserve to be in the same forum as threads on home consoles. tbh I don't understand why this separation should be made
