Hi guys, i'm currently looking for a dvd player for my dad. He has a 32" panasonic PD50 and a panasonic sky box, so he only wants a panasonic dvd player - no other make will do apparantly :suicide:

Anyway, I looked on the panny website and it seems only two players are listed: the DVDS29 and DVDS49. The S49 is about £100 and seems ideal -he's not really in to the picture quality side of things, as long as it's a fairly decent player. Does anyone have any views on it?

Also, why do panny only do two normal players - it seems they're concentrating on the recordable side of things - maybe I should convince him to go for a DMRES10 for about £170 instead?
