Need to buy a new TV.

Love the Tosh 32ZP48, with its 480p and Dolby Surround Speakers.

However, slightly reluctant to spend £700+ if I'm going to need to buy an LCD (£1500) to view HDTV in 2 years time. Has anyone else been in this dilemma.

Will the Tosh last me, or be obsolete before long.

Shall I go straight for an LCD now? Save some space etc

What you seem to be asking is how to "future-proof".

Well, the simple answer is that you can't!

Any TV that you buy today will be obselete (or certainly obselesent) in two years time.

Similarly, if you wait for two years before buying, then it will be out of date in a further two years.

At least with TV's we're talking years.

    With computers, it's months!

The best bet is to buy now if you see what you want and it's the right price.

But don't kid yourself that it will still be the latest model in 2007!

    Good luck! :smashin:
